E ‘davvero incredibile. Bruce Springsteen a quasi 63 anni sta proponendo un tour strepitoso con concerti di lunga durata più di quanto avesse mai fatto prima e, senza una pausa.
Springsteen, che è noto per i suoi spettacoli maratona, continua a superarsi ed insieme alla E Street Band ha eseguito uno show incredibile di tre-ore-e-48-minuti, con 32-songs.
Questo di Madrid supera quello che per ora era ritenuto il concerto più lungo, 31 dicembre 1980 al Nassau Coliseum, che raggiunse le tre-ore-e-43-minuti (a quei tempi i concerti prevedevano una pausa, ci limitiamo a contare il tempo effettivo della musica) e lo show dello scorso 7 giugno a Milano, di 03:38.
La set list è stata evidenziata dalla prima esecuzione assoluta di “Spanish Eyes” pubblicata ufficialmente con “The Promise” box set nel 2010. Southside Johnny si è unito a Bruce per “Talk to Me” e “Twist and Shout”.
“The River” è stata dedicata a Nacho, un bambino che è morto di cancro un paio di giorni prima di questo concerto e per il quale aveva acquistato anche il biglietto.
